5 Fashion Lessons We Can All Learn from Rihanna
When I am putting looks together, I dare myself to make something work. I always look for the most interesting silhouette or something that’s a little off, but I have to figure it out. I have to make
it me. I think that’s the thrill in fashion. – Rihanna
There’s a lot we can learn from Rihanna. She has gone from being merely a pop star to being a businesswoman who disrupts every field she enters. Sure, lots of companies produce makeup but Fenty Beauty launched 40 shades from the jump and new products are constantly being released. As soon as the new Stunna lipsticks dropped, Fenty started pushing this year’s Holiday Collection.
And sure, lots of brands sell lingerie but did you see the Savage X Fenty NYFW show? It was a full performance art production that featured every body type and skin tone possible.
Rihanna is truly an overall lesson in setting yourself apart even in competitive industries and going hard in every single thing you do. She is also proof that you can be sexy, half-naked half the time and STILL have a head on your shoulders and make a serious difference in the world.
We could truly write a book about Rihanna but we’re here to talk about her style. The little girl from Westbury Road has taught us a few gems.
1. You can be just as fly covered up as in a naked dress.
2. Menswear-inspired looks are dope.
3. It’s okay to be matchy-matchy sometimes.
4. You shouldn’t be afraid to change up your hairstyle
5. Denim doesn’t have to be basic.
