If you’ve spent any time on this blog or my Instagram you know I love black and white prints and outfits. They’re clean, classic, effortless and easy to style.
What is less obvious is that I love black and white photography. Without the distraction of colour, textures and patterns take on a whole new light.
I decided my birthday photos had to be simple, classy, slightly sexy and in black and white.
Kishmar Shepherd of NuVisual Media got my vision and I was more than pleased with the results.
Let me know which one is your favourite!
I hardly post outfit photos here anymore; Instagram became my outlet for that. Going forward I’ll be highlighting my favourite outfits each month but for now, here’s what you’ve been missing out on if you don’t follow me on Instagram.
Sometimes I can be extra. I was really only going to shoot the outfit from my last post but I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to pair this mermaid hem skirt and with my SewLisa wrap belt.
These upcycled belts are designed to be worn with anything. You can get as crazy as you wish but I favoured an otherwise simple silhouette.
Wrap belt: SewLisa
Shoes: Forever 21
Photography: Kishmar Shepherd
Shot on location at Codrington Colege.
