Ok, this post is a little overdue but better late than never, right?
I bought a bunch of random stuff on my trip but to keep things simple, I’m focusing on the basic items. These will integrate well into my existing wardrobe and they are pieces I can dress up or down depending on the occasion/my mood. Some of the other items can be viewed on Instagram so you can take a peek here.
Let’s talk shoes first. If I’m being honest, I have all the shoes I need for a five-day work week. I never have enough ballet flats though. I use them on my commute to work, for weekend jaunts, casual night outings… everything really.
The vast majority of stuff I bought was on sale. Ardene had flats 2/$20 and $3/15 and other ridiculous prices so … yeah, I had to grab three pairs of ballet flats and gladiators (because I don’t own any). The heels came from Call It Spring and they were about $35. I know I said I don’t need heels but I love a T-strap!

Next up, my favourite pants in the whole wide world. I love Old Navy Pixie pants. I have one pair, seen here, and I just needed to get two more. The fit is amazing!

Two other basic items I got were an orange shift dress from Old Navy and a black jersey top from H&M. This is actually my fourth top like this. I have blue, red and black and white polka dot already. I like to tuck them into skirts or wear them loose on more casual days.
Ok, orange isn’t really a basic colour but I have enough dresses in neutral colours. A shift is a classic shape so I have enough room to play around.

The orange dress is sold out online but there are similar ones in stock. http://oldnvy.me/ZAxdG8
That’s it for now. Hopefully, I’ll get to take photos of some of the other pieces when I wear them.
